CNBC's Bill Griffeth steps away from day-to-day anchoring

CNBC’s Bill Griffeth announces he’s stepping away from day-to-day anchoring on CNBC. He will become an anchor-at-large for the network following his 28 years in the anchor chair.

Griffeth said he’ll still appear on CNBC but not as often.

The longtime business journalist has more than three decades of experience in business television. He first joined CNBC in 1991 when NBC purchased Financial News Network. In March 2018, he was named co-anchor of the Nightly Business Report, which CNBC produces for U.S. public television. Griffeth also anchored CNBC favorites such as Power Lunch and Closing Bell.
