Let's Blockchainge the World | Mayme Donohue | TEDxYouth@RVA

“Instead of relying on someone in the middle to keep track of all the information needed to trust a transaction, blockchain decentralizes the recordkeeping.” Mayme Donohue walks us through understanding Blockchain, the growing technology behind bitcoin that makes for efficient and transparent business transactions. She reveals how blockchain technology creates trust and security, taking away the need for the middle man during business transactions. Mayme encourages the audience to zoom out and acknowledge the ways that Blockchain can positively impact and simplify our everyday life. Mayme Donohue is a member of the Hunton Andrews Kurth blockchain working group and the Associate Editor of the Blockchain Legal Resource blog.
