“An ICO, or, an ‘Initial Coin Offering’ is a new way of raising money for a company yes, but also growing your community, finding new users, and also building a new layer of functionality and utility onto an existing business model, or indeed creating an entirely new business concept through issuing a token. So Sun Exchange is fairly unique in that it already exists and then we’re issuing our own token, but that token is very specific and it does two things. Firstly people that own SUNEX then get additional bonuses and discounts and priority access when using the platform, and secondly those tokens can be staked into a solar project insurance fund therefore self-insuring solar projects against losses connected with consumer lease defaults, and by issuing this token we’re inviting and finding a whole new community of people that want to support our mission. People that use cryptocurrency buy tokens and they’re doing so because they understand that the ecosystem and the blockchain sector will only grow when people support and get involved with projects that grow the industry as a whole, of which the Sun Exchange is fully behind.”
