Decentralised internet protocol Tachyon’s VPN solution, Tachyon VPN, crossed 100 global nodes this week. All of these nodes are set up by community members across the world. And Tachyon VPN also gets support from top servers providers like Vultr, AWS, Digital Ocean and Google cloud. Now all users can use these servers to become a provider node in Tachyon System.
Tachyon VPN was launched on App Store and Google Play recently and is acquiring global users with a fast speed. Furthermore, IPX staking system will be added in the following version of Tachyon VPN as the official announcement said.
Tachyon VPN node providers offer traffic to users of the platform through a router which matches users with nodes. In return for their contribution to the network, nodes earn staking and session rewards. All provider nodes need to stake 20,000 IPX tokens before they can mine traffic. This generates staking rewards. VPN users pay nodes in the form of session rewards based on their network usage. In this way, Tachyon’s “new internet” offers fair service and rewards to everyone – both nodes and users.
The launch of IPX staking system will accelerate the expansion of global nodes to thousands in a few months. With the world currently in lockdown because of COVID-19, this is a remarkable feat and a proof of the high quality community engagement at Tachyon.

About Tachyon Protocol:
Tachyon is creating an alternate protocol to disrupt traditional communication conventions over the internet. The team is focused on eliminating loopholes in the TCP/IP stack using its own iterations of proven P2P technologies – DHT, blockchain, UDP and encryption. Tachyon VPN is a decentralised VPN solution and the first dApp built on Tachyon Protocol. The project brings to fruition years of experience and research by Sunny King (inventor of Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism), Peerchemist (Peercoin Project Leader and President of the Peercoin Foundation) and FinTech investor Alex Yang.
