Why are you writing ‘Mastering Ethereum’? What is the scope of the book? Are you still interested in Bitcoin?
I am interested in the application of programmable blockchains to consensus networks that use a virtual machine to resolve the state of smart contracts. This applies to ETH, ETC, Rootstock, and other smart contract-focused blockchains. These systems will probably not have the robust monetary policy, security, decentralisation, or scalability of Bitcoin, but they do open up more potential for research and innovation in the area of smart contracts. I will not limit my learning or intellectual curiosity in order to satisfy a religious-like litmus test. Don’t forget who the real enemies are: the totalitarian, fascist, crony, centralised banking systems that cause enormous damage to the world.
